Setting up users for the service for FTP data replication

Use this procedure to add the identities of users to the service that you created for FTP, link actors to the identities, and assign the necessary security role to the actors so that they have access to the data replication functionality.

  1. Access the environment data area. In the Web UI, select Administration Console > System > Application & System Links.
  2. On the Landmark Reveal page, click User Management in the Security Management panel and select Identity.
  3. On the Identity List form, click Create and select Create Identity.
  4. On the Identity form, specify this information:
    Service
    Select the service you created for FTP data replication.
    Username
    Specify the FTP user name.
    Password
    Specify the FTP user's password.
  5. Click Save.
  6. On the Identity List form, double-click the identity to link to an actor.
  7. On the Identity Details form, click Create on the Actor Assigned to Identity tab and select Assign Existing Identity to Actor.
  8. On the Actor Identity form, select the actor and click Save.
  9. In the User Management menu, select Actor Management > Actor.
  10. On the Actor List form, select the actor who needs a security role that includes access to data replication access.
  11. Click the Ellipsis button and select Assign Role to Actor.
  12. On the Assign Role to Actor form, select a role that has the appropriate security classes assigned to it.
  13. Click Submit.
