Managing columnar database size for audit log entries

A scheduled maintenance request, ResetColumnarReplicationSetBC, is available to manage the continuous increase in size of the database when replicating AuditLogEntry to the Columnar database. The process resets the Columnar AuditLogEntry RepSetBC record using the ColumnarStatus indicator and ensures that the Ignore Indicator On Full Replication option is selected, allowing full replication to include all remaining AuditLogEntry records after the reset.

This maintenance request works together with an existing scheduled maintenance request that periodically purges the audit log entry replication set business class. The default for the delivered purge retains 180 days of framework-related entries and 30 days of all other entries and runs once a week. To view all maintenance requests, navigate to Async Administrator > Setup > Maintenance Requests.

Note: This request runs once a month on a Sunday at a randomized time in GMT, which may result in running on a Saturday for some users depending on their time zone.
