The Data Exchange activity node

The Data Exchange node is used to send data to FTP/SFTP servers or read data from FTP/SFTP servers. Files are sent and read based on carrier definitions. The Data Exchange node functions as an FTP node used inside a loop. The loop count is based on the number carriers to be processed. Unlike the FTP node, a single Data Exchange node can be used to send different data or the same data to multiple FTP/SFTP servers.

This node can be used in these ways:

• Read data from IPA variables and send the data to the FTP servers and vice versa

• Read data from a business class of a work file in Infor Finance EDI and send the data to the FTP servers and vice versa
