Carrier definitions

The data read from the variable or EDI work file will be sent to the SFTP servers based on the carrier list selected.

You can define carriers through Process Server Administrator or Web UI.

Field Description
EDI Carrier The unique name of the carrier definition.
EDI Method The method of sending. Select SFTP.
Host Specify the host name.

Optionally, you can enable host key checking.

Authentication Type If you select SFTP, you will be prompted to configure Authentication type. These are the options:
  • User and Password: Specify the user that will run the SFTP connection and, if needed, the user's password.

  • User and Privatekey: If you select this option, you will be prompted to specify:

    • User: This is the user ID that will run the SFTP connection.

    • Private key: Browse to the location where the private key is located.

      The private key file must be on the system that is running the Landmark user interface or, if it is on a remote server, the server must be mapped to the system that is running the Landmark user interface.

      Note: 

      With some versions of Infor Process Automation, the phrase "PrivatekeyPath" appears instead of the file name and location.

    • Passphrase: If the private/public key pair requires a passphrase for the user running the connection, configure it here.

Outbound Directory

The name of the directory wherein the outbound files would be placed on the SFTP server

If the directory name is not specified, the file will be placed in the home directory.

Outbound File The name of the file sent to the SFTP server
Inbound Directory The name of the directory wherein the Data Exchange node would search for files

If the directory name is not specified, the node will search in the home directory for files

Move Directory The name of the directory to where the inbound files will be moved after the files are transferred

If the directory name is not specified, the files in the inbound directory will be deleted after being transferred.

Do Not Delete Files in The Server An option to configure IPA to retain the files in the server

If your organization or EDI vendor manually deletes files after it is transferred, select this option to avoid a break in the EDI inbound process.

Continue On Inbound File Error Select this option to continue on inbound file error.
Encrypt File Before Sending Specify the encrypt service name information.
Decrypt File After Receiving Specify the decrypt service name information.
Test Connection After saving your configuration, click this button to test the new or updated connection.

If the properties are set up correctly, a success message appears. If the properties are not set up correctly, an error message appears.

Test File (Works Only With Test Connections With Trace Log) Specify the location of the test file to be created during the test connection.
Test Connection With Trace Log Click this button to capture the debug logs for the specified connection.
