The FTP activity node
The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) node provides a way to transfer files from one machine to another within a process. Files can be transferred and received to or from a local or remote machine.
If a remote machine is used, the configuration name must be specified. The default is the "main" configuration. You must configure a File connection for the FTP activity node if you want to connect to a remote machine. When the configuration exists, you can select it on the FTP activity node Properties pane.
In a multi-tenant environment, local files are stored in the database. Remote to local transfer means that the file will be pulled from the FTP server to the database. On the other hand, local to remote transfer gets the file from the database and FTP is to remote server.
The Properties pane is also where you specify the location and name of the source and destination files.
