Capturing activity times
The time a process spends performing steps can be important information in determining if your process is behaving as expected. Infor Process Automation log files have always captured this information as part of the overall logging process. However, full logging can be cumbersome to process and log files can become very large very quickly. Typically, customers enable complete logging when they are troubleshooting general problems.
Note: Enabling activity time logging will negatively affect the
performance of the process.
It is possible to capture activity times for a particular process with minimum impact on system performance. This topic explains how to enable this.
- Access the Process Server Administrator and select .
- Depending on the process you want to configure, select User, System, or Application Defined Processes.
- From the list of available processes, open the process for which you want to capture activity time.
- On the Process Definition page, select Capture Activity Start and End Times.
- When you are finished making changes to the definition for the process, click .
-
You can view the capture times from the Workunits display.
- To navigate to Workunits, access the Process Server Administrator and select .
- Open the workunit you want to view. The activity node tab shows the activity node start and end times.
