Configuring a user receiver
- Click the User Channel Receivers tab.
- From within the tab, click Actions > Create.

Specify this information:
- Channel Name

This field is prepopulated based on the channel for which you are configuring a receiver.
- Receiver

Assign a name to the receiver. This can be anything and can include numbers and special characters. Use a name that reflects the purpose of the receiver.
- Description

Optional. Assign a description that provides some detail about what the receiver is used for.
- Role

Optional. Select which users are allowed to use the channel.
- Action

Select the type of action that the receiver will listen for:

Service Trigger: starts a predefined service and returns the work unit number of the work unit that was created. If this action is selected, you must specify the service that you want to start when submitting the request.

My Requests: returns a list of work units that you created that are not yet complete. You may want to select this action if you want to check the status of a work unit, but you do not know the work unit number.

System Status: returns the current status of IPA. Gives information about the health of the IPA system and if any issues exist.

Work Unit Status: returns the current status of a specific work unit at a given time

- Last Message Received Time

Shows the time when the last email message was processed by the server
- Startup Type

Select when you want the receiver to start:

Automatic: receiver starts when the server starts

Manually: receiver starts when the user manually activates it

Disabled: receiver is disabled and will not start

- Status

The current status of the receiver
- Last Error Time

Shows the timestamp of the most recent error
- Last Error Type

Shows the type of the most recent error
- Last Error

Shows the most recent error
- Save your changes.
