Limit cancel checks
By default, IPA checks to see if an administrator has canceled a running process in between every activity node execution. This check takes time. To improve performance, limit the cancel checks to be done less frequently. From the Process Definition page, set the Cancel Check Frequency to Intermittent. You can also control how many seconds should pass during process execution before the system will stop to see if a new activity node has completed and if an administrator has canceled the process. The higher the value, the higher the potential performance gain, but the longer you may have to wait for the process to stop when you need to cancel it.
