Handling failures or misfires
Use the Failure Strategy tab to make selections for how an action behaves when it does
not complete successfully.
For a failed you can, specify for the action to automatically retry for a specified number of attempts. To use this option, use the Number of Retries field to specify how many times the action should be attempted before it is reported as failed.
A misfire is when a background action fails to run on time. Options for handling a misfire are:
- Specify a threshold, number of minutes, that an action can be delayed before it is reported as failed. In the Threshold field, specify the number of minutes. Options are:
- Specify a strategy. Options are:
- Do Nothing: The request will be ignored.
- Run Once: Only one of the missed events, there may be several if scheduled, will be run.
- Run All Processes Scheduled: All of the missed events, there may be several if scheduled, will be run.
- Specify Report Options: Valid entries are:
- No Report
- Report All Processes. The reports created are AsyncActionMisfire records.
