Enabling the Rich Text Assisted Authorship feature

Infor Rich Text Assisted Authorship feature, which is based on Generative Artificial Intelligence (GEN AI), can be used to generate content in rich text input fields.

Note: For the October 2024 release, only customers who have gone through an acceptance process can enable the feature. Contact your account manager for more information.

Add the configuration parameter for the tenant

The configuration parameter, AIEnabled, must be enabled on the tenant in order for the Rich Text Assisted Authorship feature to be assigned to user roles.

  1. Check if the AIEnabled configuration parameter is on the tenant. Navigate to Administration Console > Other > System Configuration Parameters and select Residence Category.
  2. Click the Available tab. Filter the Key field for "AIEnabled." It should display on the tab. (If it does not, create a ticket for Support.)
  3. On the Configuration Parameters page, select Create.
  4. Provide values for these fields. Specify the values exactly as shown here:
    • Component: config (The Preferred Component field should also change to config.)
    • Key: AIEnabled
    • Value: true
  5. Select Save when you are finished adding the parameter. You are can enable the AI assisted rich text feature for user roles.

Enable the AI Assisted Rich Text Enabled feature for a user role

When the Rich Text Assisted Authorship feature is enabled, users must be granted access to it through their roles.

  1. In the Web UI, navigate to Administration Console > Other > Security > Application & System Links On the Landmark Reveal page, move to the Security Administration section of the page and select User Management > Role.
  2. Select the role to be given access to the Rich Text Assisted Authorship feature.
  3. On the Configurable Features tab, select the AI Assisted Rich Text Enabled checkbox.
  4. Save your changes.
  5. Restart the interface for this change to take effect. All users must be logged out.
