What Are the GEN Security Classes?
The GEN product line includes predefined security classes that grant access to functionality based on the access requirements of a variety of users. These security classes or copies that you make of them must be assigned to roles, which in turn must be assigned to the appropriate actors. Basic role and actor assignment is usually completed when the Landmark Environment is installed, but you may have occasional reassignment requirements or you may wish to alter the security access templates provided by Lawson.
You cannot modify any delivered security classes. The delivered security classes have names that end in "_ST". Instead, you can create a new security class in the Configuration Console.
The GEN product line security classes, those belonging strictly to the GEN product line and those belonging to the framework. The framework security classes also appear in each Landmark application product line's set of security classes.
