Run permission BODs initially

All permission BODs must be run manually as part of the configuration process. After configuration is complete, BODs will run on a schedule, created at your site, to locate changed data.

Note: You can run all permission BODs manually at any time.
  1. Verify that the security administrator who will run the permission BODs is an application administrator and has been assigned access to the PermissionBodAccess_ST security class in the application data area.
  2. In the GEN data area, locate the SecRulePermissionsEnabled ConfigurationParameter and set it to Yes.
  3. Verify that the logicalID ConfigurationParameter is set to its default value.
  4. Launch Administration Console and navigate to Security > Permission BODs.
  5. Run these actions to populate the permission BODs:
    • Send BOD For All SecClass Permissions.
    • Send BOD For All Role Permissions. (After this Action is run, "regular" Role BODs, that is, BODs that already exist and are not related to permission BODs, will have additional data.)
    • Update Permission BODs: This populates PermissionBODsSync for the first time.
