Setting up user proxies as an administrator

  1. Create a proxy.
    1. In the Infor Rich Client or Web UI, navigate to the Proxy Management application and then Admin Proxy Definition.
    2. From the Actions menu, select Create.
    3. Consider the following fields:
      Grantor

      The name of the actor whose access privileges need to be granted to another actor temporarily.

      Proxy Name

      A name for the proxy.

      Description

      A description for the proxy.

      From Date

      The first date the proxy is in effect.

      To Date

      The last date the proxy is in effect.

      Is Enabled

      Whether the proxy is enabled. (For the grantee to switch to the grantor's access privileges, the proxy must be enabled and the current date must fall within the from and to dates.)

    4. From the Actions menu, select Save.
  2. Assign roles to the created proxy.
    1. In the Infor Rich Client or Web UI, navigate to the Proxy Management application and then Admin Proxy Definition.
    2. On the Proxy List form, double-click the proxy you want to assign roles to, or select the proxy and select Open from the Actions menu.
    3. From the Actions menu on the Proxy Roles tab, select Create.
    4. Select a role from among those roles assigned to the grantor and which are proxyable.
    5. From the Actions menu, select Save.
    6. Repeat the previous steps to assign more roles to the proxy.
  3. Assign the proxy to a grantee.
    1. In the Infor Rich Client or Web UI, navigate to the Proxy Management application and then Admin Proxy Definition.
    2. On the Proxy List form, double-click the proxy you want to assign grantees to, or select the proxy and select Open from the Actions menu.
    3. From the Actions menu on the Proxy Granted To Actors tab, select Create.
    4. Enter an actor name in the Granted To field and select Save from the Actions menu.
    5. Repeat the previous steps to assign the proxy to more grantees.
