Linking an Actor Group to an Actor Context Record

This procedure provides the steps for assigning a template to an Actor Group. A template must already exist before you perform this procedure.

  1. Navigate to the Administration Console through the method you use, for example, the Web app, HRT or FSM.
  2. From the menu, access Security > Actor Context Template.
  3. Select Actor Group.
  4. On the Actor Context Detail List, move to the toolbar and select the action Create Actor Context from Template. The Actor Context Template dialog box opens.
  5. Populate the appropriate fields on the Actor Context Template dialog box.
    1. For Actor Context Template: Select a template from the list.
    2. For Actor Group: Locate and select the Actor Group that should be linked to the template.
    3. For How to Process If Actor Context Already Exists: If you are updating an existing Actor Group that might already have a value for at least one of the Actor Contexts, select Replace if you want the existing value to be updated or Skip if you want to retain the existing value.
  6. Click Submit.
