Creating access control policies for web applications and associated navigation items

When a user has access to a web application, all content associated with the application is, by default, available to them. The UI Access Control feature gives administrator a simple way to control access.

Specifically, UI Access Control can be used to control access to such navigation items as menus, sub-menus, page panels, panes and so on. Items that cannot be access-controlled using UI Access Control are not available for selection.

The subtopics in this section describe how to use the Access Control feature to deny or grant access to web applications and the components, called navigation items, associated with the application.
