Configuring business classes

Use this procedure to configure business classes in the Configuration Console. Business classes contain the definitions for data in an application, including how data is organized and processed. A business class is a table definition to store and persist data. It also defines actions, states, and security. You can tailor delivered business classes or create your own business logic by creating a business class and user interfaces for it.

  1. Select Configuration Console > Basic Access > Business Logic > Business Classes.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    User Business Class
    Specify a user business class.
    Business Class
    Specify a business class.
    User Key Field
    Select a user key field.
    Key Field
    Specify a key field.
    Description
    Provide a description for the business class.
    Status
    Select a status.
    Key Field LPL
    Business Class LPL
  4. Click Save.
