Creating action extensions

Use this procedure to configure action extensions for a delivered action. You can assign a new name, assign a new workflow, and add required fields.

  1. Select Configuration Console > Configuration > Create.
  2. On the Configuration tab, in the Configure and Add Actions section, click Create Action Extension.
  3. On the General tab, specify this information:
    Business Class
    Select a business class.
    Base Action
    Select an existing action on which to base the new action.
    Action
    Specify a name for the action.
  4. To override the default label for the action, select the Override Default Action Label check box and specify a name for the label.
  5. To add required fields, click the Required tab and select the check boxes for Effective Date Required, Reason Code Required, or Action Comment Required.
  6. To add a workflow for a request action, click the Workflow tab.
  7. Click Submit.
