Creating Queue Groups

Use this procedure to create queue groups. A queue group enables you to suspend or resume all of the queues in a group at the same time and to control the maximum active actions for a group of queues. It is recommended that you do not include system queues in a queue group.

To create a queue group

  1. In the Async Administrator, select Setup.
  2. On the Async Setup page, select the Queue Groups tab and click Create.
  3. Use the following guidelines to enter field values.
    Queue Group

    Specify a name for the group.

    Description

    Specify a description for the queue group.

    Max Active Actions

    Specify the maximum number of active actions that the queues in the group can process. This is a cumulative value for all of the queues in the group.

    Suspended

    Select this check box to suspend all of the queues in the queue group. Clear the selection to resume all of the queues in the queue group.

  4. Click Save to save the queue group definition.
