Building and viewing scheduling forecasts

Once you have defined scheduling forecasts, the next step is to build and view the forecasts.

Note: This task describes how to start a forecast build by using the Scheduling Forecasts page. You can also start a build on the Async Administrator main page by selecting the Requests Pending Scheduling tab, the Recurring Requests tab, or the All Requests tab, and then selecting the Build Schedule Forecast option from the ellipsis button menu.

Infor delivers a purge for scheduling forecasts. You can locate it on the Maintenance Requests tab of the Async Setup page by filtering on the PurgeOldForecasts action. It is delivered with Purge Offset Days setting of 30. This means the slices and members are purged for the generated scheduling forecasts whose end date is older than 30 days before the current date. The forecast definitions themselves are not removed.

  1. In the Async Administrator, select Forecasting.
  2. On the Scheduling Forecasts page, select the forecast that you want to build and click Build Forecast.
  3. Specify when to process the forecast build and click Submit.
  4. While the build is underway, you can view its progress by clicking the ellipsis button and selecting Drill Around and then View Active Builds.
  5. When the build is complete, you can view the results by clicking the ellipsis button and selecting Drill Around and then View Forecast. The forecast is also displayed at the bottom of the Scheduling Forecasts page for the selected forecast.
