Purging Orphaned Requests

Normally, when all triggers related to an async action request have been remove, no future execution remains, and it is not a system request, the async action requests are deleted automatically. However, when the triggers are deleted by an external process, such as a utility program, async action requests may remain in the system as "orphans." Use this procedure to clean these up.

The purge can be run for all requests or only those for the current data area.

  1. On the Async Administrator main page, select the All Requests tab..
  2. Click the ellipsis button and select Purge Orphaned Requests.
  3. On the Purge Orphaned Requests form, if you want to purge orphaned requests only for the current data area, select the Current Data Area Only check box.
  4. Click Submit to run the purge immediately or click Schedule to schedule it.
