Copying Replication Sets

Use this procedure to create a new replication set by copying an existing one. You may find it useful, for example, to copy one of the delivered replication sets and then modify it to better match your business needs. A copied replication set will have the same business classes, related replicates, and replication set business class fields as the replication set it was copied from.

  1. In the Landmark Administration Console, navigate to Database > Replication.
  2. In the Replication Sets pane, select the Search tab, and search for and select the replication set you want to copy.
  3. Click the ellipsis button, and then select Copy.
  4. On the Copy Replication Set form, specify this information:
    New Replication Set
Specified a name for the replication set to be created by copying.
    Old Prefix
Specify the prefix to be removed from the business class names that are being copied to the new replication set. Be sure to match the case of the existing prefix.
    New Prefix
Specify a new prefix to be added to the business class names that are being copied.
    Skip Errors
If you select this check box, then any errors encountered when copying the replication set's business class records will be ignored and a partial copy may result.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. In the Replication Sets pane, select the Search tab, search for and select the new replication set, click the ellipsis button, and select Open. You can then make any necessary modifications to the new replication set.
