The ION Outbox activity node

The ION Outbox node is grouped with ION activity nodes in Infor Process Designer.

Configuring an ION Outbox node to be used in an Infor Process Automation process involves several tasks:

  • Creating an ION system configuration in Infor Process Automation

  • Configuring properties for the ION Outbox node within the process

Properties

This section explains the meaning of attributes on the Activity information portion of the ION Outbox node Properties dialog box.

Property Description
Connection Information
Configuration name Select the configuration that contains the ION Outbox connection that you want to use for this activity node.
Use the Override option to override the connection information if needed.
ION Configuration
DB Schema Select the format for the data that will be received.
Use the Override option to override the DB Schema configuration if needed.
Outbox Attributes
BOD Type Specify the BOD type.
From Logical ID Specify the Logical ID (LID) belonging to the Connection Point in ION Connect that you are sending the message from.
To Logical ID Specify the Logical ID (LID) belonging to the Connection Point in ION Connect that you are sending the message to.
Msg Priority Priority to be assigned to this message in relation to others. Select 0-9 where 0 is the lowest priority and 9 is highest. The default is 4; typically, it does not need to be changed.
Tenant ID The Tenant ID specified in the ION Connect server.
BOD ID The Globally Unique Identifier for the BOD instance.
Document ID Used to uniquely identify a document.
Acct Entity Accounting Entity is a independent entity in regard to operational or accounting functions. An Accounting Entity produces a Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet from a complete, balanced set of transactions. It is often, but not always, a legal entity. An Accounting Entity is defined within a Tenant and can contain Locations.
Location ID The location that is associated with the document.
Revision ID Used to keep multiple versions of the same legal document unique
Variation ID Ccan be used at the receiving end to discover messages that are received out of sequence.
Batch information
  • Batch ID: The unique ID of the batch. This is made up of the lid of the sending system, a colon (:) as a delimiter, and the batch counter.

  • Batch Sequence: The sequence number of this BOD in the batch.

  • Batch Size: The total number of BODs in the batch.

  • Batch Revision: The revision number of the batch. This is used when one set of BODs fails so that the complete set can be resent using a new revision number. The revision number must be increasing but need not be sequential.

  • Abort batch: This indicator type attribute is set to true when a sending system determines that it will not finish sending a batch for any reason. It notifies the receiving system that any messages received as a part of this batch should be discarded.
