Reverting a process to an earlier version on action pending workunits

Infor Process Automation administrators can revert to earlier versions of process flows by using the Make Current Version feature on the Process Definition window. Reverting a process to an earlier version

In rare circumstances, Infor Process Automation administrators may want to change the process version used by workunits that are still processing.

Note:

Most administrators will neither need nor want to use this feature.

In order to use the feature, workunits must meet the following requirements:

  • Only workunits that are still in process will be updated to use the new process version. Workunits in any other status will be skipped.

  • Only workunits that are still pending on a user action will be updated to use the new process version. Workunits in any other status will be skipped

  • The user action on which the existing in process workunits are pending must continue to support all the actions that were previously available.

Not following these requirements could result in invalid workunit processing. Meeting the requirements is the responsibility of the developer of the process that is being updated.

To select revert a process to an earlier version on action pending workunits:

  1. Access the Process Definition window. Click Process Server Administrator > Configuration > Process Definitions > select the appropriate type of process definition: User, System, or Application Defined.
  2. From the list of processes that display, open the process you want to work with.
  3. On the Process Definition page, select the Process Version tab.
  4. Select the Version you want to revert to and select Actions > Make Current Version on Action Pending Workunits.
