Copying Jobs and Job Streams

Use this procedure to create new jobs and job streams by copying existing jobs and job streams. This is useful if you need to create many jobs or job streams whose specifications are only slightly different.

You must have access to the JobQueueAccess_ST or BasicProductLineAcess_ST security class, or their equivalents, in order to define jobs.

  1. Navigate to the Job Console, and select the Jobs tab or the My Jobs tab.
  2. Select the job or job stream you want to copy and open it.
  3. On the Job form, click the ellipsis button and select Copy
  4. On the Copy Job form, specify this information:
    New Job
    Specify a name for the new job.
    New Job Description
    Specify a description for the new job.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. To modify the newly created job or job stream, return to the Jobs or the My Jobs tab, select the new record and open it for editing. For scheduling information, see Scheduling Background Actions.
