LPL editor functions

Editor functions

This table shows the editor functions that are available for configurations, personalizations, and reports:

Function Description
Folding Expand and collapse text.
  • Fold All: Collapse all text.
  • Fold: Collapse all text under the selection.
  • Unfold All: Expand all text.
  • Unfold: Expand all text under the selection.
Commands Access commands to navigate the LPL.
  • Find: Click to open the search bar and provide text to search.
  • Find Next: Go to the next instance of the search term.
  • Find Previous: Go to the previous instance of the search term.
Additional functions
  • Press F1 to view valid updates that you can make to the LPL. The Commands menu is displayed.
  • Click the search icon to search the text of the LPL. Click the up arrow to go to the previous instance of the search term. Click the down arrow to go to the next instance of the search term.
  • Select rows and press Tab to move the rows outward (outdent).
  • Select rows and press Shift + Tab to move the rows inward (indent).
  • Click the number to the left of a row to highlight the row.
  • Click the down arrow to the left of the editor to collapse a section.
  • Click the ellipses to the right of a row to expand a section.

Editor tabs

This table shows the tabs that are displayed in the editor:

Tab Description
Edit Contains the current LPL. You can change the LPL using the editor.
Description Contains a text description of the configuration. To change the text, click Update Description. If no description exists, the default is Description Not Entered.
LPL History Contains a list of changes to the LPL from the audit log. Select a change from the Changes table to perform an action.
  • Compare To Current: Click this tab to compare the change on the date in the Changed column to the current configuration.
  • Compare To Previous: Click this tab to compare the change on the date in the Changed column to the previous configuration.
  • Revert To: Click this button to revert the selected LPL to the previous configuration. The date of the previous configuration is displayed on the button.
Status History Contains the changes made by users to activate or deactivate an item, or an item that was invalidated by the system after an update.
Security Contains security classes that are applied to business classes, key fields, and actions. Click Manage Security Class to edit the LPL and manage roles.
