Verifying configurations

Use this procedure to verify configurations. This action can be useful after an application upgrade to see if the software changes have invalidated any of your configurations.

  1. Select Administration Console > Configuration and Personalization > Configuration > Verify Configurations or Configuration Console > Utilities > Configuration > Verify Configurations.
  2. Specify this information:
    Subdirectory
    To place the report of deleted configurations in a subdirectory of the FTP site directory, specify that directory.
    Command Output File Name
    Specify a name and extension for the command output file. For example, CDVerifyOut.txt.
    Create User Report
    To create a user report, select this check box.
    Filters
    Select the check boxes to indicate the types of configuration components to verify.
    Options
    Select the check boxes to indicate the content to include in or exclude from the verification. You can include warnings, print out syntax errors, and skip folders and reports.
    Handling Invalid Items
    Select an option to handle items that are invalid. You can choose to include or not include invalid items, to list items marked as invalid, or to fix invalid security items. If you select to list items marked as invalid, you cannot select the options for printing out syntax error and skipping folders and reports.
    Actor
    To verify only those configurations that were created by a single actor, select the actor.
  3. Click Schedule to schedule the verification for another time or click Submit to immediately verify the configurations.
