Working with application configuration records

After you create configuration records in the Configuration Console, they are grouped by type in the left pane. For example, menus, pages, and business classes. Select a configuration record to display information about the record and to manage the record.

  1. In the Infor Rich Client, access the Configuration Console for Application.
  2. Click Configure to open and edit the record.
  3. You can delete or inactivate the configuration, which will reset the menu, form, or list back to the delivered default. The Status field can be set to:
    • Active

The configuration is available and currently in place.

    • Inactive

The configuration is not applied. Rather than delete a configuration, you may want to keep it for future use by setting it to inactive.

    • Invalid

Configuration records are set to invalid when configurations are outside of protocols or there is a conflict between an application upgrade in the LPL and what you made for a configuration. These items are colored red in the list of configurations.

  4. Click Make Private to switch the configuration to a personalization record. The record will be moved to your My Personalizations list.
  5. To switch the record back to a configuration record, click Make Global from My Personalizations.
  6. If users have created personalizations, you can override them. Click Override Personalizations. Users will not be informed their personalizations have been overridden in the user interface, so you may want to inform them.
