Managing the UI configuration cache

Use this procedure to access the UI Configuration Cache Manager in order to determine if caching issues are preventing you or other users from seeing the configurations you have made.

You can clear the cache for all configurations or for an individual configuration that you are working on. If a configuration change you have made does not appear when you attempt to test it, you should consider clearing the cache for that configuration and then re-testing.

  1. Select Administration Console > Configuration and Personalization > UI Configuration Cache Manager or Configuration Console > Utilities > UI Configuration Cache Manager.
  2. Examine the details of the cache information. For information about what to look for, see How to examine the UI configuration cache.
  3. Select the items that you want to clear the cache for.
    • To clear all of the detail caches for a node/cache type combination, select the node in the Cache JVMs pane, select one or more cache types (use Ctrl+Click to select multiple), and then click the ellipsis button and select Clear Cache.
    • To clear the cache for an individual configuration, select the appropriate node and cache type combination, select the configuration or configurations in the Cache Detail pane (use Ctrl+Click to select multiple), and then click the ellipsis button and Clear Cache Detail.
