Overview

Infor Spreadsheet Designer for Microsoft Excel can query, view, update and delete data from the Infor Landmark system.

You can map business classes and actions from the Landmark application database and work with that data in Excel. Mapping creates a link between the mapped classes and actions and Excel. A map you create becomes part of the workbook. If you make changes to the data in Excel, you can send your mapped data back to the Landmark application database.

You can also run a query of Landmark application data and view and analyze your list of records in Excel. This lets you make use of Excel's powerful reporting features. You can save searches and folders that you use frequently so you do not have to create them each time you run a query. For example, you can create a query and map a list and a set of related fields to a worksheet. The worksheet then represents the new data list. You can also map data from a business class and related fields to a worksheet; the updated worksheet is then used to create, update, or delete the business class data. When data is mapped to a worksheet, it is saved in an Excel workbook and the worksheet is connected to the originally mapped data.
