Using Infor Spreadsheet Designer with Microsoft Excel

The Infor Spreadsheet Designer is integrated into Excel.

After the product has been installed, an Infor tab appears on the Excel main menu. From this tab, you can launch Infor activities.

Infor actions

  • Insert Upload: Link Landmark business classes and actions to your worksheet.

    Inserting a map means creating a link between a landmark business class and its associated actions. After you create the map, an Upload button is activated. Use this button to bring the data into your workbook.

    When Infor Spreadsheet Designer creates a map, it attempts to map column headings in the worksheet with existing column headings in the database. You can use these automatic maps or change them to be whatever you want.

    Infor Spreadsheet Designer also auto-sequences new data, when a field in the database supports auto-sequencing. Records added or modified in Infor Spreadsheet Designer are returned to the database with the correct sequencing.

    Infor Spreadsheet Designer can be configured to stop uploading data if an error occurs or to "push" data in "as is."

  • Insert Query: Create a list of records from Landmark application data to view, update and report on in Excel.

    You can create queries based on the Landmark business objects: business class, list, and user folder.

    Infor Spreadsheet Designer can make use of Landmark application features such as As Of Date. In your queries, you can request data that falls only within a particular time range.
