Field labels in Infor Spreadsheet Designer

When selecting fields for uploads and queries, the full field name is displayed in the first row of the worksheet. This name can be long and unclear to some users. To clarify the field names, you can also display the label for that field in the second row of the worksheet.

These labels are drawn from different sources, depending on action. Field labels for uploads are drawn from form labels, and field labels for queries are drawn from list labels. Form labels and list labels can differ.

If you have personalized or customized these labels, those changes are reflected in the field labels. If no personalizations or customizations have been done, the default label specified in the form label or list label is used.

If you toggle field labels in the query pane, the list labels are used, but if you toggle field labels in the upload pane, form labels are used. Doing a query refresh when field labels are enabled displays list labels.

You can enable field labels in Settings. To view the Settings options, navigate to Infor > Settings.
