Creating an alert detail

The ION Alert node supports creating and sending the alert detail in tree node structure to the ION. The ION Alert Detail Builder walks you through the process of building or modifying an alert detail.

  1. From the ION Alert section, click Build. When creating a new alert, the builder opens with the minimum details required for building an alert detail.
  2. Specify values for mandatory keys. To specify the DataType in the tree node parameter, select from the drop-down list (in the Value column).

The Key column is pre-populated based on what needs to be added and this cannot be edited. Values for mandatory keys are pre-populated with dummy values and can be modified with any hardcoded values or variables. Mandatory keys cannot be blank.

  3. Add any number of alert details, tree nodes, or tree node parameters as needed.
    Note:

Only one tree node can be at the top level for each alert detail. The top-level tree node however, can contain any number or any level of tree nodes.

Use these buttons to construct the alert details:

    Button Description
Alert Detail Adds an alert detail with the minimum required details to created an alert details. All the mandatory value fields are pre-populated and can be modified.
    Tree Node

Adds a tree node with minimum required details to create a tree node. All the mandatory fields are pre-populated and can be modified except the ParentID value, which is inherited from the parent.

    • ID: the unique ID that you want to assign to the tree node

    • NodeName: the name that you want to assign to the tree node. In the Infor Ming.le alert, this will appear as the name of the folder which can be expanded to display all parameters of the alert.

    Tree Parm

Adds a tree node parameter with all the required details. All the mandatory fields are pre-populated and can be modified.

    • Name: the name that you want to assign to the parameter. This will appear in the parameter list when the folder inside the Infor Ming.le alert is expanded.

    • Value: the value that you want to assign to the parameter

    • DataType: select from the drop-down list. The options are: String, Integer, Decimal, Boolean, DateTime, Date, and Time.

Delete Deletes one or more selected elements, which can be a combination of alert detail, tree node, and tree node parameter. However, you cannot delete a tree node or a tree node parameter if it forms the base node of an alert detail or a tree node.
Undo Delete Reverts all the changes you made after your last delete.
Move Up/Move Down Moves selected elements up or down
Expand All/Collapse All Expands or collapses all the elements in the builder
Expand/Collapse Expands or collapses selected elements in the builder

The corresponding XML for the alert detail (as seen in the Alert Detail String box) will be created in the builder dynamically based on the input.
