Navigating to the Inbasket and viewing your pending work items

Your Inbasket is accessible through a link or web page that has been created by your system administrator. If you do not know this location, contact your administrator.

Work items needing action from you are sent to your Inbasket by the automated process that generated the work items. Depending on how the work item was set up, you might receive an email notification that you have a pending work item.

To get to the Inbasket, navigate to the URL supplied by your administrator. Depending on how Process Server has been set up at your site, the URL might take you to the Inbasket Landing Page instead of directly to your work items. You can access your work items by clicking My Work or you can click My Tasks, and select which task list you would like to view work items for. When you reach the list, you can take immediate action on work items.

In the example, several Contract Approval work items are in the Inbasket for the task "Manager." There are three ways to access them:

  • The simplest way is to click the work item. This takes you to the page where you can take action on the item.

  • You can select the work item, and then click Actions > Open to launch the page where you can take action on the item.
  • You can also select the work item, and then click the Open button (open folder icon).
