Selecting desktop settings

You can change the name that displays for you on the top-left corner of the Infor Rich Client canvas.

If you change it and decide to go back to the name that was added when Infor Rich Client was installed, you can easily do so.

1. From the canvas, select Start > Settings.

2. On the Desktop tab, specify the name you want to display in the top-left corner of the canvas in Display Name.

3. Click OK when you are finished making changes.

4. To revert to the default display name that was added when Infor Rich Client was installed, click the Reset button in the Display Name portion of the dialog box.

You can change the background color for the canvas, you can see a preview in the thumbnail.

The default is set to show all animations. Animations relate to fading in and out, gradual minimizing or maximizing of windows, progress bars, and so on. If you select no animations or minimal animations, you may gain some speed, but you are deterring from the look and feel of the application.

If you select no animations or minimal animations, the rotating cube that appears when you switch spaces is turned off as well.

Select this check box if you want to display any tool tips that application forms may include. If you select this check box, drag the Tool Tip Delay marker to your preferred position (short, or long, or medium delay).
