Personalizing Menus

You can make changes to menus that are delivered to you through Infor Rich Client. You might want to do this if, for example, an application delivers many menus, some of which you do not use. You could remove the unused menus in order to make the list of those you do use quicker to navigate.

  • You can personalize a menu directly from the menu. Open the menu and right-mouse-click > Delete Menu Item to remove the item from the menu.

This creates a configured menu record in the background that you can view or manage from the My Personalizations screen.

  • You can also open the menu and in the heading, press Ctrl + Shift + left-mouse-click and the menu information displays. Click the Personalize link.

    or

  • Go to Start > My Personalizations. Select Configured Menus then the New icon to create a new personalization. On the Configure Menu screen, type or paste the menu name into the Select Menu field and click OK.

In the menu editor view of My Personalizations you can:

  • Remove menu items. On the menu item, right-click > Delete Menu Item.

  • Launch a menu item. Click on it.

  • Add a menu item. Create a shortcut on the canvas from the list, form, or page you want to add to the menu. Then drag and drop the shortcut from the canvas to the menu editor view.

To return to the default menu, inactivate or delete your Configured Menu record in My Personalizations.
