Creating system snapshots

Use the system snapshot feature to take a snapshot of all configurations, personalizations, and security classes on your system. Use this snapshot to compare the configurations on one system to the configurations on another system. For example, you can compare development to production.

To import a system snapshot, use the Import Snapshot menu. See Importing snapshots.

  1. Select Configuration Console > Change Management > Administration.
  2. Click the Quick Create tab.
  3. Click Create System Snapshot.
  4. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify a name for the snapshot.
    Description
    Optionally, add a description of the snapshot.
    Include Configurations
    Select this check box to include configurations in the system snapshot.
    Include Security Classes
    Select this check box to include security classes in the system snapshot.
    Include Personalization
    Select this check box to include personalizations in the system snapshot.
  5. Click Submit.
