Configure entrance and exit rules for actions

There are times when you want to modify the logic of existing LPL actions and inject your own logic. You can define your own entrance and exit rules for delivered LPL actions.

For example, configure an exit rule to trigger an Infor Process Automation process. Entrance and exit rules cannot be created for business classes that are stored in the Landmark environment (gen).

  1. In the Infor Rich Client, access the Configuration Console.
  2. Select Business Classes and, if a business class configuration does not already exist for the business class whose action settings you want to extend, create a new configuration and select Action Configuration for the Configuration Type. If the business class configuration already exists, expand the business class, and select Configured Actions.
  3. Click the New button at the top of the left pane.
  4. In the Create New Configuration window, select the action whose settings you want to extend, and click OK.
  5. In the right pane, enter your entrance and/or exit rules.

These must conform to valid LPL syntax. For more information about LPL syntax, see Configuration Console Reference Guide: Landmark Pattern Language (LPL).

  6. Click Save at the top of the right pane.
