LASRCDIR/dict data area configuration moving to LACFGDIR/dict

The data area configuration files (dataarea.xml) is being moved from LASRCDIR/dict to LACFGDIR/dict. In the case of new installations, the data area configuration files will be located now in LACFGDIR/dict. In the case of a Landmark update, the update will attempt to move the existing data area configuration files from LASRCDIR/dict to LACFGDIR/dict. If the update cannot move the files (such as if the files are on a different network drive), then the files will remain in LASRCDIR/dict and will be accessible there when needed.

New configuration parameter to set effective time zone basis

A new configuration parameter, effective.timezone.basis, enables you to control what time zone is used for effective date transactions. The time zone basis can be set to SYSTEM, CORPORATE, or USER. SYSTEM will use Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) as the basis, CORPORATE will use the time zone set for the corporation, and USER will apply the time zone of the user initiating the transaction.

Flattening of child and parent hierarchies when creating columnar tables

When you create columnar tables via replication sets, there are now options to use when the data for the columnar table has child and parent hierarchies. You can choose to flatten the hierarchies and set the number of hierarchy levels, thus making the columnar table more readily usable by Birst.
