Configuring Email Actions in the activity node

When the configuration file is updated, process developers can easily use Email Actions in User Action and HRTM User Action nodes.

  1. On the Notify tab, specify this information:
    Notify all users of work

    Select this check box if you want to send an email to all tasks and users assigned to this work item. The email lets the users know that work has appeared in their Inbasket.

  2. Click Create the notification message. Specify this information:
    To

    This field is not editable. The default value is All users that are assigned work.

    Cc/Bcc

    Specify the users you want to be copied in the email. A user that is added in the Bcc field does not appear as a recipient in the message.

    From

    The process first checks if the From field is populated with either a hard-coded email address or a variable.

    If the field is left blank, the process checks a "system" configuration property called "mailFrom". For more information, see "Configuring mail and timeout properties" in the Infor Process Automation Administration Guide.

    If the From field and the "mailFrom" property are both blank, the mail is sent from user "LPS."

    Subject

    Specify the subject of the notification email.

    Contents

    Specify the content of the notification email. If you want to load the content from a text document, click Browse.

    HTML content

    Select this check box to allow HTML content in the notification email.

    Allow action via email (requires HTML content)

    Select this check box if you want to allow tasks and users to take action for work items from the notification email. This option requires the HTML content check box to be selected.

  3. Click OK.
  4. Optional. Add email action buttons to the Reminder #1 and Reminder #2 emails if they are appropriate for your application.
