Disabling activity nodes for processes

A configuration parameter can be added to the gen data area that will allow administrators to specify any activity nodes that should not be used when creating a process in IPD. Any disabled nodes that are used in a process will trigger an error at runtime, stating that the work unit has failed because of the use of a disabled activity node in the process.

  1. Access the Process Server Administrator and select the gen data area.
  2. Select Start > Data > la > Business Classes > ConfigurationParameter.
  3. Select Actions > Create.
  4. Specify this information:
    Component

    Specify ipa.

    Name

For the property name, specify disabledActivityNodes.

    Value

Specify the activity node to be disabled. For example, if you do not want to allow file transfers in your process, specify FileTransfer to disable the FTP node.

  5. Save your changes.
  6. Restart Infor Process Automation.
