Using Activity Limiter

Logic flaws in process flows can result in issues such as infinite loops.

An Activity Limiter is a Process Automation feature that addresses this issue.

On Process Definition records, an activity count sets a soft limit and a hard limit. If the work unit's activity count reaches the soft limit, a warning email is sent to the configured email address. Work unit processing continues.

If the work unit's activity count reaches the hard limit, an error email is sent. The work unit navigates directly to the End node to terminate work unit processing. The work unit status is set to Failed.
