Key management and encryption tasks

This topic provides brief descriptions of key management and encryption tasks. Instructions for performing each task are in the sections that follow.

  • Generating a key pair: This task saves public or private key pairs in the Infor Landmark gen database where they are stored as service properties.
  • Uploading a PGP key: This task uploads (imports) a public key sent from another system so that files can be encrypted before being sent to that system. For example, if you use Infor HR Talent and HRSD, you would use this procedure to upload a public key from HRSD that can be used to encrypt a file before sending it to HRSD.
  • Downloading a PGP key: This task downloads (saves) a public key that you will send to another system so that the other system can encrypt files it sends to Infor Landmark. For example, if you use Infor HR Talent and HRSD, you would use this procedure to download a public key that you will send to HRSD so that HRSD can encrypt files sent to Infor HR Talent.
  • Deleting a key pair: This procedure deletes a key pair. Perform this procedure only when the pair is no longer needed. Deleted key pairs cannot be retrieved.
  • Encrypting and decrypting files in the PGP protocol: If you perform PGP tasks using the Landmark Web UI, you encrypt and decrypt files through Infor Process Automation using the Encrypt and Decrypt nodes. More information is on docs.infor.com.
