Maintaining Password Properties for the Security Administration utility (secadm)

Use these procedures to change the password for the Security Administration utility (secadm) and to enable e-mail password recovery. These procedures assume you have enabled password protection for the secadm utility. Controlling User Access to the Security Administration utility

If you enable e-mail password recovery, you can then use the secadm -r command to reset or recover the password for secadm. The secadm utility will send an e-mail to the address specified for password recovery. This e-mail will contain a key that you must copy and paste at the prompt that appears when you run secadm -r. You will then be able to reset the password.
