Password Policies

A password policy is a set of rules that governs the properties of passwords for a service. You can create policies that define the following password properties:

• The minimum length of a password

• The maximum numbers of characters that can be repeated within a password

• Whether a password must contain at least one numeric character

• Whether a password must contained both uppercase and lowercase characters

• Whether a password can include the user's name

• Whether a password can never expire

• How many days before a password expires
