Setting up a service for FTP identities

Use this procedure to set up a Landmark service to which identities are assigned so that the actors associated with those identities will be recognized as FTP users.

  1. In your environment data area, in Infor Rich Client, select Start > Applications > Security System Management > Login Scheme.
  2. On the Login Scheme List, select Actions > Create. This defines the credentials required for identities for the service.
  3. Specify this information:
    Login Scheme
    Specify the name of the login scheme. This is the name you will later assign to a service.
    Description
    Optionally, specify a description of the login scheme.
    Scheme Type
    Select Nologin.
    Login Procedure (on the Login Procedure tab)
    Select XRefLookup.
  4. In your environment data area, in Infor Rich Client, select Start > Applications > Security System Management > Service.
  5. On the Service List form, click Create.
  6. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify the name of the service, such as ADMCON. This name will be used as the value for the ftpidentitysvc parameter in the ConfigurationParameter table.
    Description
    Optionally, specify a description of the service.
    Service Type
    Select Form-based.
    Login Scheme
    Select the login scheme you created for this service.
  7. Click Save.
