Infor Rich Client features

Infor Rich Client is the integrated desktop (also called "canvas" ) provided with your Infor Landmark applications.

It gives you additional tools to interface with the Landmark application you are working on, as well as a way to link directly to other applications or documents you may need to use while you are working on the applications.

When you log in to Infor Rich Client, you are also logging in to your Landmark application. A user name and password are needed.

Major features

Note: 

Depending on your security privileges, some features may be hidden from you. Your administrator provides access to user interface features.

  • Ability to keep thumbnail versions of open application forms at the top of the page without cluttering your working area.

  • Ability to create shortcuts from any application forms that can be retained on your space when you leave the application.

  • Ability to create shortcuts to documents on your machine, to URL addresses, and/or to external applications (such as Microsoft Word or Excel).

  • Ability to create shortcut groups, one of which can be designated as a startup group (which will cause any external applications and application forms in the group to automatically open at startup).

  • Ability to locate forms in the application by typing a name or partial name.

  • Ability to detach graphics from application forms and keep them on your Infor Rich Client canvas where they continue to be updated in real time and interact with the application.

  • Ability to create other Infor Rich Client spaces (up to a total of four spaces) and switch back and forth between spaces.

  • Ability to write notes to yourself and retain the notes when you exit the application.

  • Ability to create watches and alerts.

  • Ability to configure your Infor Rich Client spaces with regards to font size, and animations.

  • Ability to save customized application forms in folders.

  • Ability to create custom reports by filtering delivered lists and share them with groups.

  • Ability to set an As Of Date to view application data as of a past, current, or future date.

  • Ability to view the progress of action requests and scheduled activities.

  • Ability to personalize the current list or form.

  • Ability to access the Configuration Console to personalize or customize menus, lists, and forms.

  • Ability customize web application homepages.

Other tools include a calculator (which can display your favorite pictures), a clock (with the ability to have multiple clocks for multiple time zones), a slide show of your favorite pictures, and a local weather display.

Note: 

Some special characters cause errors when copied and pasted into Landmark applications. If an error is displayed after copying and pasting text into Landmark applications, try removing the special characters or saving the text as plain text or unicode.
