Application and widget library components

The Library contains application-specific components and widgets. The widget library includes a mix of generic tools (such as a calendar and clock) and tools designed specifically for your application (such as the Favorites tool).

To add a library component to your Infor Rich Client canvas, click Start > Library, double-click the component (or highlight the component and click Add To Canvas).

Application components and widgets are retained on your Infor Rich Client canvas when you exit the application. To remove them from your Infor Rich Client canvas, you must close them.

If you have multiple spaces, you can add different library components to different spaces.

Infor Rich Client provides the application-specific components, such as:

Application component Description
Process panels Collections of applications menus, usually by role. Select a panel to add it to your canvas.

My Actions Select to add a My Actions panel to your canvas.

Infor Rich Client provides the following widgets:

Widget Description
Calculator

Select this widget to add a calculator to your Infor Rich Client canvas.

Note: 

You can substitute the pictures that display each month with your own pictures.
Calendar

Select this widget to add a calendar to your Infor Rich Client canvas.

Note: 

You can substitute the pictures that display each month with your own pictures.
Clock

Select this widget to add a clock to your Infor Rich Client canvas.

Note: 

You can add multiple clocks to keep track of multiple time zones.
Console
Note: 

This widget displays only if you select the "Show console in widget library" advanced setting.

select this widget to display exception information that can be used for debugging purposes.
Data Menu
Note: 

This widget displays only if you are logged in as a super user or developer.

Select this widget to access the application data in data mode (which gives you access to business classes, business tasks, security, and other data restricted to general users).
Folders Select this widget to display all created and public folders and most recently viewed content.
Monitor Select this widget to display and monitor computer performance and CPU usage.
Navigator Select this widget to provide a list view of the applications you have access to. This is the same menu as the left half of the Start menu.
News Feed Select this widget to display news feeds that let you monitor RSS feeds from an Internet or intranet resource.
Note

Select this widget to create notes or reminders for yourself.

You can have multiple notes opened at any time.
Reports

Select this widget to view your live reports.

You have the ability to make a hard copy of these reports.
Shortcut

Select this widget to create a shortcut to a document, an application, or a web address.

You can also create a shortcut from any application form in your application, allowing to bypass the navigation menu when you want to open the form.

You can create an indefinite number of shortcuts on your Infor Rich Client canvas.
Shortcut Organizer

Select this widget to create groups of shortcuts to organize your shortcuts and save space on your Infor Rich Client canvas.

One group can be flagged as a startup group. Any applications and application forms that are added to the startup group will be opened when you log in to Infor Rich Client.

For example, if you are a recruiter, you can create a shortcut for the Recruiter Space form and add it to the startup group. Your recruiter space will open every time you log in to Infor Rich Client.
Slide Show Select this widget to create a slide show from all the pictures from a folder on your machine. The slide show will run continuously until you close the widget.
Tools Select this widget to view the progress of your actions requests or scheduled actions.
Weather Select this widget to display local weather on your Infor Rich Client canvas. You can create multiple weather displays by zip code.
