Configuring the Data Area for the Database Access Method

Configure the data area to use this login service when the login procedure is either USE_USER_ID or USE_PRIVILEGED_ID.

  1. Open the %LARUNDIR%\dataarea\db.cfg file for editing.
  2. Add or update the following line:

    SERVICENAME=db_servicename

    where db_servicename is the name of the service created in Creating the Database Login Scheme and Service.

  3. Save and close the file.
