How Are Data Areas Created and Modified?

When you install a Landmark Environment or application, the installation program requests the needed information about your database, and then to creates the data area with the Configure Data Area (configdadb) utility. Additional data areas can be created in non-production systems for a product line by using the createda utility. Once a data area exists, the changeda utility can alter the deployment file with a variety of changes that you specify.

configdadb can be used at a command prompt or from the Lawson Application Designer Action View. createda and changeda are only available from a command prompt. Changing Default Data Area Attributes Using changeda

After the data area is created or modified, the data area is implemented in the database with the stagelandmark utility.
