Configuring for Static or Dynamic Ports

When connecting to an SQL Server instance via the TCP/IP protocol, the system listens for incoming connections on TCP ports. In Landmark, you may need to set a TCP PORT parameter in the data area's db.cfg file, depending on whether you've configured the SQL Server instance to use static or dynamic ports.
